that’s geek talk that animators / video editors / flash developers would know – creating a keyframe is like setting a special point / milestone in your work.
so if you haven’t heard yet, i’ve left gosh advertising / catapult marketing / magnet partnership and will be joining Band tomorrow. it wasn’t anything wrong with the previous job, but i felt that i could do much better if i can work on accounts that i’m passionate about – something that i preach to the newbies that i come into contact with. you need to do stuff that you are genuinely interested in. i suppose the accounts i worked on weren’t such good fits for me, but the experience was priceless. i learnt a great deal about advertising in my short stay there, and left on a good note.
so i had 2 days break before starting with Band tomorrow. quite excited about it as it’s my way back into the technology accounts. today i went back to my poly to visit the lecturers, and i only get to go back only once in a while. i’ve only been close to some of my teachers during my academic career – e.g.: ms G from JC, who has left us to be with the Lord / ms chuah & mrs nah from poly. i came from the 3rd batch of the course, and today i met some of the kids from the 10th batch. things have changed, and with every batch, there’s always something familiar and something new. mrs nah pointed out the oddballs from her class (one that’s like goth-rock and another that’s a mix between hippie+brett michaels), and the good kids who hang around and help her with stuff. it’s the same, but different.
and with every new point in life, there’s bound to be something new and something old – starting a new job for example – it’s still account servicing, you get the same issues like anywhere else / the processes are more or less the same / the skills are more or less the same. however when you start on a new account, you learn something new, open your eyes up to something different and hopefully, take another step forward towards your end goal in your career path.
i actually chose to start work on 26th. i started my “career” on 26 april 2006, 4yrs 1 month ago. hopefully this milestone will be greater than the last.
