i was sitting on the throne and fiddling with my iphone when i started to wonder how would people organise their iphone applications? i’m sure there are those that just keep adding new apps and end up with 8 page mess of apps, but i’d like to think there are those obsessive compulsives like me who would like to “optimise” the placement of their apps so that it would provide the optimal experience.
so here’s what we can all do: leave me a reply in the comments, and if you can, screenshots of your icon arrangement. tell me how you organise your applications, and let’s see how many compulsive “organisers” there are.
here’s mine to start things rolling:
screen 1 – most frequently used applications so that i can do the double click and scroll to this page. 2 vertically arrange icons in the top right are the camera apps i use most often. 4th row of icons are all the “internet” apps. this is why i twitter so much.
screen 2 – useful utilities and secondary bunch of frequently used apps. note the final row of icons are links to the nextbus website, customised to retrieve bus arrival timings for my 4 most frequented bus stops. heh. similar apps are placed together – e.g.: wikipanion + dictionary / polarize + camerabag / channelnewsasia + straits times / currency + converter
screen 3 – the rest of the icons. sorted such that the games are the bottom and utility apps are on the top.
